The Principal IS Architect - Performance Engineering will guide project teams to deliver applications to meet their performance targets & provide performance analysis & troubleshooting supports to resolve performance problems & improve system performance. This position requires both architecture knowledge to design high-performing systems & h&s-on skills to troubleshoot complex systems. In addition, this position needs to provide leadership to the performance engineering practice & establish relevant process, tools & engagement plans for the enterprise-wide service. Job Responsibilities- Provide architecture consultation & guidance to project teams to establish performance targets & design systems that will meet the performance targets- Provide consultation & h&s-on support to project teams & systems stakeholders to identify performance issues & provide improvement suggestions- Provide architecture, design & deployment reviews to ensure that proposed environment changes will not cause unexpected performance impacts- Establish the relevant tools, process & procedure for the Performance Engineering service- Conduct experience sharing sessions to promote the awareness of performances issues; offer opportunities for other technical professionals to gain the knowledge & skills in performance engineering
