JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Training Coordinator will be responsible for designing, developing, planning and provide leadership in the areas of Organizational Development, Adult Learning, Instructional Design and Curriculum Development for an adult hourly and salaried workforce.
Candidates need to have experience with Manufacturing.
Direct and guide the design, development, procurement and implementation of training for a hourly workforce program; these programs must be deeply rooted in Adult Learning Theories and Methodology. Must display a broad understanding of marketplace dynamics, competitors and learning trends and implement best practices. Lead others towards sound principles of instructional design and systematic processes within learning to ensure successful transfer of KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities).
Drive the execution of business strategies through targeted and integrated learning solutions. Determine key Informational Technology requirements and spearhead change management efforts to ensure business processes and culture change. This includes enhancing the current Learning Management System (LMS) and working across the organization beyond rank/position to influence work processes, align support for critical initiatives, identifying and engaging key stakeholders and sponsors.
Work in concert with Site Human Resources (HR) and Corporate Organizational Development (OD) functions to identify current and future training needs and develop a strategy to build those skills. This must be supported by the development and leveraging of metrics to measure skill acquisition and the impact on performance derived from training. Direct training implementation plans. This involves but is not limited to the following: Developing Training Programs within SAT (Systematic Approach to Training) Process, Approving all policies related to training, Managing the Training Department, Documenting job specific qualifications certifications and requirements, Approving all Vendor Training, Managing all training related to the MOC (Management of Change) Process, Managing all training for Contractors & New Hires, Monitoring Associate qualification levels and devising remedial actions to address gaps.
- Bachelor's degree in Organization Development or Instructional design or a related technical field (i.e. Technical Trade & Industry).
- 8 years of organizational development or instructional Design experience required.
- 4 years of experience developing interactive web based training such as Schedule Content Object Performance Model (SCORM).
- 3-5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
