Job Description
The Engineering Science Division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA), a contract research organization located in Panama City, Florida is seeking an outstanding Principal Engineer with a PhD degree and extensive experience in Energy Research to join our team in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, to assist in the development of innovative technologies of national importance.
The successful candidate will lead and develop research activities in the SMART Energy Group dealing with Sustainable, Mobile, Alternative and Renewable Technologies. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and managing a project, or series of smaller projects or a definable piece of a larger program for successful completion and performance consistent with contractual agreements. Will direct and supervise all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities. Including managing the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation, testing in accordance with project objectives and for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading or assisting with proposals. Projects managed are typically of moderate technical complexity, and requires PhD degree with 7 to 10 years of related (technical environment) experience and prior project management experience.
