This position will be based at ChemPartner s South San Francisco facility with occasional trips to Shanghai, China.
We are seeking a motivated scientist with extensive experience developing stable cell lines for protein expression. The successful candidate will participate hands-on and lead a small team of scientists to develop research cell banks for therapeutic protein expression in an industrial setting. The individual will perform small and large scale mammalian cell culture (e.g. CHO and HEK293), design, execute and supervise stable cell line development programs. She/he should have strong skills in organization, communication, technical troubleshooting, multi-tasking and thrive in a highly collaborative environment.

Develop transient and/or stable cell lines for therapeutic protein expression in an industrial setting
Manage small team of cell line development scientists in South San Francisco site, assist group members in Shanghai with technical troubleshooting
Independently review literature, design experiments, analyze data, document procedures and data thoroughly in notebooks, write reports and present data to clients and group members
Develop new techniques, perform troubleshooting, draft experimental protocols and train group members in Shanghai on improved methods
Perform CHO or other mammalian cell culture and related assays, including but not limited to: cell transfection, stable cell line generation, limited dilution cloning, evaluation of protein production from transient and stable expression cell lines, cell banking, ELISA, Flow cytometry, HPLC, molecular cloning and gene expression
May collaborate with other functional groups in Shanghai on projects, communicate with clients and present at internal team and external client meetings
