The candidate will be working on designing and supporting platform environments for video processing software to be run on physical, virtual, and cloud environments. Job includes design, coding, and unit test of new features to accelerate software deployment and support operating environments using the latest technologies including containerization, cloud orchestration, and software repositories. It also requires occasional debugging of field issues when those issues are not reproducible in the lab. In those cases, direct interaction with customer engineering staff is required. Software engineers will work closely with systems engineers and system testers to complete their assigned projects.

Advanced Linux skills (CentOS/RHEL)
script programming (Bash, Perl, Python)
virtual system platforms (KVM and/or VMWare)
software deployment packaging (RPMs, Docker manifests, other container technologies)
orchestration tools such as Ansible / Puppet / Cobbler
DEVOP concepts of software development and deployment
TCP/IP protocols, IPv4 / IPv6
Other areas of interest include:
Ceph Object Store,
SQL, and noSQL databases,
C /C/Java Programming,
Cloud environments such as Openstack, vCloud
