This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an outstanding team of engineers developing products for the leading Cable providers of the world. Were looking for a Principal Software Engineer with proven experience successfully delivering and supporting software systems with the qualifications listed below.
This position involves developing software for video compression products at our Santa Clara office. You will be joining the team that developed industry standard (and Emmy-award winning) products such as the Cherry picker product line.
You will be involved in design and implementation of software for ARRIS next-generation advanced video encoding platform, the ME-7000. The emphasis will be on maintaining and creating new software for our next-generation AVC/HEVC encoders.
Additional Skills:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field 5 years experience in video compression (or Masters degree 1 year)
- Knowledge of video standards such as MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, HEVC
- Experience developing software for embedded processors.
- Expertise in C/C programming
Desired:
- Familiarity with linux development environment
- Experience programming video SOCs or DSPs
- Excellent communication skills
Basic Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering required
1 years video experience
