The following is a short list of the typical responsibilities and deliverables of any given project. The level of knowledge expected will commensurate with the level of incoming experience. The Process Engineer is responsible to lead, influence, support, and help develop all investments in automation, equipment, related information systems/software issues, and newtechnologies. The Technical Packaging Manager (TPM) must ensure a focus on new orinnovative approaches to addressing unique automation concerns presented by theextremely challenging clinical supplies packaging environment. The TPM is responsible for delivery of the site strategic technology plans consistent withthe overall network strategy for the Clinical Supplies SCP. The TPM is responsible fordelivery of the site CAPEX plan and must ensure the steady-state availability of allautomation. The TPM and staff is responsible for ensuring support of technical feasibility forprojects and in the routines determination, optimizing the human and automationresources used for packaging and warehousing activity as well as managing the equipment mechanics. Other duties include insuring that the site operations are fully compliant with the required Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality standards and meet our customer's needs. This position requires a demonstrated ability to effectively allocate resources and manage multiple complex projects to fixed timelines. The TPM must have extensive experience with a variety of primary and secondary drugpackaging equipment and warehousing automation solutions. The TPM must have comprehensive understanding of equipment systems controls. Preferred knowledge of and ability to assess new technological advances that can improve the clinical supplies packaging process. Qualifications:Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering fieldAt least 10 years of experience in the packaging industry or equivalent experienceA background in the pharmaceutical industry is preferredManagement experience in a production environment is requiredIQ/OQ and validation experience requiredKnowledge of cGMP/ISO facilities and regulationsAbility to organize and manage a diverse, cross-functional group with constantly changing demandsAbility to apply technology to create operational efficiencyAutomation/equipment technologies project management experience requireProven ability to manage, lead and motivate others.
