Process Engineer, Product and Process Development

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented & innovative Focus Factory Manager (3rd shift) - North Focus Factory to join our Operations Management department located at our Bedford, OH facility. The Focus Factory Manager is responsible for providing operational leadership & tactical execution of the assigned Focus Factory. Directly manages the supervision & coordination of all direct production centers with all non-production support groups to meet sales forecasts, corporate goals & objectives. The position will also be responsible for dealing directly with the Contract Manufacturing customers on any issues related to their products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Plan, formulate, organize, control & direct production activities of the Sterile Filling, Component Preparation, Equipment Preparation, Formulations, Lyo/Sterilization & Packaging areas to ensure they are valid, progressive, efficient, cost effective & in compliance
- Manage work priorities & time-lines & allocate resources to assure assigned focus factory goals & time-lines are met
- Execute focus factory manufacturing strategy & align with overall plant strategy
- Partner with quality leadership to ensure good quality & cGMP practices & their implementation in manufacturing
- Lead, coach & train employees toward team concepts & foster environment for an empowered, high-performance focus factory by applying MLC principles
- Execute talent management initiatives including the creation & delivery of robust career development & MAX Plans for all direct reports. Demonstrate MLC Principles through effective coaching, mentoring & differentiation of development for employees. Focused talent acquisition/management process to increase talent at the supervisory level
- Champion Right First Time in production areas & drive continuous improvement philosophy
- Partner with other focus factory managers & collaborate to find the best possible solution & best practices
- Works with Contract Customers on issues related to their product from release by project development to packaging & final shipment
