The Process Engineer will support, maintain and upgrade new and existing production processes and machinery, by interfacing with engineering product development, quality engineering, shop floor personnel, control engineers, product engineers, draftspersons, lab technicians, and outside vendors.

Position Description:
The Process Engineer will support, maintain and upgrade new and existing production processes and machinery, by interfacing with engineering product development, quality engineering, shop floor personnel, control engineers, product engineers, draftspersons, lab technicians, and outside vendors. In addition, lead the identification and development of next generation processes related to plastics processing.

Principal Responsibilities:
Support and upgrade production, production processes, including molding, extrusion, tipping, printing, and assembly. Provide support on introductions of new processes and control methods into manufacturing as well as to create best practices in product development.
Develop robust and capable processes for new and existing manufacturing products. Document, validate and determine standards for them.
Plans, Develops, and Executes Process and Test Method Validations (IQ, OQ, PQ) in accordance with Teleflex (Arrow) procedures.
Prepares or reviews documentation with a high degree of accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness using engineering tools and templates were available (i.e. validation documents, specifications, manufacturing procedures, ECOs, and technical reports or analysis summaries).
Applies and leads DMAIC - Six Sigma approaches to solve issues and reduce variation in all manufacturing and business processes.
Consult with Arrow and non-Arrow engineers, technicians, drafts people, and manufacturing personnel regarding machine design, process/product design tooling/fixturing and production problems.
Interact with out side vendors to investigate commercial machine and equipment applications. Order commercial parts, systems and raw materials.
Interface with product engineering to design and develop new or modified products.
Interface with manufacturing and lab technicians to develop new tooling and machines.
Coordinate, specify build, validate/revalidate, and troubleshoot machinery.
Consult with and work on category project teams as needed. Participate in project review. Write progress reports on projects.
Coordinate or participate as technical lead for manufacturing transfer of new products, including manufacturing trials, or existing products.
Train personnel such as other engineers and technicians in the use of new equipment, processes and documentation.
Design and execute process capability studies for processes that require it.
Aid in creating cost and feasibility studies.
Visit other Arrow facilities as required.
Perform as the recognized subject matter expert for plastics assembly processing through direction and consultation of other employees seeking related knowledge.
Provide Technical support all manufacturing transfer of plastics processing operations across global operations
Adhere to and ensure the compliance of teleview's Code of Ethics all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.

Education Required:
BS in Mechanical or Polymer science

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Additional preferred or required qualifications.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of previous experience in related field (e.g. medical device manufacturing & assembly, plastics, automation).
Preferred medical device manufacturing and experience including transferring products from design to manufacturing.
Must have demonstrated ability and experience to balance and multi-task multiple engineering projects and programs in support of internal customers.
Understanding of polymer materials properties and the practical application of these principles in establishing robust manufacturing processes, troubleshooting.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MiniTab & SolidWorks
Must be able to apply engineering concepts, original thinking, cause and effect, and ingenuity to solve problems.
Must be skilled statistical practitioner and apply statistical analysis to determine process capabilities, compare populations via hypothesis testing, utilize process control charting, and use the output of these analysis to improve operations.
Knowledge and experience in designing and performing Design of Experiments (DOE) desirable.
