Roswell, GA office opening:
The Machinery & Equipment Procurement Team is seeking a Procurement Analyst II Buyer to provide sourcing expertise for the internal machinery manufacturing team. Excellent project management, LEAN systems and relationship management skills are highly valued. We use innovative thinking and analysis to deliver results to the businesses we support.
The primary responsibilities for the role include purchasing assigned materials, equipment and services; managing assigned commodities and purchases; and managing relationships with key suppliers and internal customers.
Responsibilities:
li Research, select, develop and maintain adequate sources of supply to ensure that the company's requirements for assigned materials, equipment and services are fulfilled with the best quality, service and price consistent with the need.
li Establish and manage ongoing vendor relationships so that our needs for goods and services are met by suppliers whose quality, price, delivery, long term availability, and access to technology will provide us with competitive advantages
li Develop competitive vendor strategies which lead to a more favorable business position than our competition or other competitive advantages for the company.
li Forecast timely price and availability information on materials for the various consuming businesses and communicate this information to appropriate personnel in the company so it is properly integrated into business strategy and decision-making.
li Drive value to the business by developing insightful category strategies and vendor objectives.
li Develop relationships with internal customers, the mills, and suppliers which reinforce the Machinery & Equipment Procurement philosophy and objectives.
li Develop and maintain purchasing expertise for assigned commodities and/or services.
li Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, as well as related governmental laws and regulations to ensure purchasing activities are conducted within the parameters of each.
Basic Qualifications:
-Associate Degree in Engineering, Business, IT or a related discipline
-5 years or more of work experience in an engineering, procurement, operations or similar role
-Experience or expertise with AutoCAD, Excel, and SAP
