We seek a Full Time Procurement Specialist to centralize vendor management, analyze vendors, assess vendor expenses, assist in vendor selection and achieve financial goals and budgetary savings.
This position will report directly to the Cheif Business Officer.
This role will perform technical analysis to determine past, present and future financial performance and will gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for agency.

* Procurement for full life cycles
* Prepare, implement and manage annual strategic sourcing plan for the Direct categories to achieve financial goals and budgetary savings obligations * Develop and recommend specific sourcing team projects for the year, their expected savings, a timetable for completion and a process for on-going savings monitoring * Develop purchasing strategies to understand industry and supplier base which will result in strategic supplier relationships * Drive annual productivity improvements by leading internal and joint supplier/company teams to pursue cost reduction opportunities, supplier relationships and process improvements within * Execute continuous improvement sourcing approach and plan integration of sourcing into organization after completion of project * Improve efficiency & effectiveness including coordinating internal teams for product evaluation & selecting 'best total value' pricing * Lead negotiations with suppliers creating partnerships with suppliers focusing on forward thinking strategic development and relationship building * Work cross functional ensuring that contracts create positive vendor relationships through the entire lifecycle including (but not limited to) contract roll-out, customer service issue resolution or reporting/collection problems
* Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management and/or related discipline required * Eight to ten years experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management and/or Finance; Operations & Material Management experience is a plus * Extensive negotiation experience of multi-year contracts serving multiple locations, fluency in negotiating contract terms & conditions is required * Demonstrated competence in cost reduction and process improvement * Demonstrated ability to provide innovative leadership in the issues related to the key procurement ...
