Producer

This person is responsible for producing talk programs on WXYT-AM. Various responsibilities include booking, scheduling, and producing interviews with live guests for air, performing production work for designated program, monitoring pacing and flow of program.This person generates story and interview ideas; coordinates program content with air staff and news staff; plans long range coverage and interviews; monitors on-air product; works on special projects as required.Required Skills/ExperienceKnowledge of radio broadcast studio operations is required. Experience with digital and analog audio equipment is required. Sound news and talk shot topic judgment is a must. Familiarity with local and national news, newsmakers, and issues is required; knowledge and experience with digital production studio equipment. Must have the ability to use social media to strengthen relationships with listeners at a personal level. Excellent written and verbal skills are a must.
