Analog Devices (NASDAQ: ADI) a world leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of a broad portfolio of high performance analog, mixed-signal, and digital signal processing (DSP) integrated circuits (ICs) used in virtually all types of electronic equipment, has a current opening for a Product Applications Engineer.
Application engineering in support of the High Speed Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) IC products. Responsibilities include primary technical support to customers to solve implementation and understanding issues relating to the use of high-speed DACs. Work with existing customers to understand market requirements and translate requirements into technical specifications and new product definition. Write or modify software to support specific applications on FPGA, PC, and/or customer platforms. Anticipate customer difficulties and create datasheets, application notes, reference designs, and editorials. Evaluate new product and competitive products. Plan, prepare and deliver technical training presentation for customers and sales personnel. Support customer, field application and sales for existing designs and to win new design-ins.
Travel up to 10% for onsite customer support, training and demonstrations.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience with a minimum of 6-8 years related and progressive experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4-6 years related and progressive experience. Experience in mixed signal board design or communication systems design (wireless communications, cable, etc.) is preferred. Experience writing software in Python, C, C , or C# is a plus.
For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
