Job Description
The Structured Credit Trading group trades a full range of credit and correlation products. They include derivatives (synthetic bespoke cdo, index tranche, index cds, single name cds, CLN's) and bonds. Multiple roles exists within Business Unit Control (BUC) to work in a team that provides accounting and control support to Stamford based traders.
Effective execution of this role will include the following responsibilities and associated skills:
ul li Assist in the daily production and reporting of trader P&L. This includes understanding the market drivers behind the P&L through daily conversations with traders and research within the industry such as analyst reports, newspaper articles and internet queries to provide daily and weekly commentary to senior management on the main drivers influencing the businesses P&L.
li Develop a strong understanding of the credit/ correlation trading market and the products traded.
li Reconcile the F2B process to ensure that the Risk Management Systems and General Ledger are reporting accurate P&L and risk numbers daily. This includes reconciliation of both the income statement and balance sheet on a daily and monthly basis including the generation and processing of month end journals.
li Daily interaction with other groups(MRC, CRC, Financial Reporting) within the bank to ensure proper reporting.
Provide ad-hoc assistance with systems upgrades or new project initiatives via User Acceptance Testing.
li Support ad-hoc queries from traders and business management personnel for changes to business/book structure and reporting content and format.
li Assist in the streamlining of daily P&L process through consideration of bank's available resources and changes to system infrastructure.
