Position Overview
As a member of the Sealants global technology team the successful candidate will work closely with Marketing to design and develop silicone RTV based new products for the construction industry. The successful candidate will be skillful in formulating and testing both one- and two-component offerings for coatings, adhesives or sealants. The candidate may also be involved in translations of new or existing new products to other world regions and will provide technical support to the plants on an as needed basis in support of quality and or productivity projects.

Job Responsibilities
1. The Product Development Scientist works within the Global Sealants Business Unit to design and develop various new products for coatings, sealant and adhesives applications with a strong emphasis on condensation cure chemistries
2. This person also works cross functionally with the Marketing and Sales teams to determine market needs within the industry and assists in identification of innovative solutions in order to meet customer needs.
3. This person will support translation and/or modifications of new products to meet the needs of new or existing growth markets
4. Conduct reviews and evaluations of existing patents and publications and generates new intellectual property (IP) as required
5. This person will effectively manage multiple projects, ensuring clear alignment of goals and deliverables with business and market needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 3 to 5 year s industrial experience in product development with a demonstrated expertise to invent, develop and apply new technology using statistical design of experiments.
A proven ability to facilitate the translation of key technologies globally to serve both new and existing markets
Successful candidate must possess high energy with the ability to handle diverse responsibilities, to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously with emphasis on quality and speed.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects to completion and interact effectively in cross-functional and global teams with strong customer focus.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience in silicone chemistry and coatings, adhesive or sealant formulation technology are preferred

Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (or higher preferred) in Chemistry or Polymer Science
