JOB DESCRIPTIONOur client is seeking a Product Development Coorinator for a temp to hire position for In Port Chester,NY. The primary role of the Product Development Coordinator is to assist and support the Design Department. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, a sense of urgency and ability to multi task.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the creation of product spec sheets and initiate projects with suppliers. As well as assist designers with communication to the suppliers for drawing revisions and approvals.
Maintainence of sample development tracking list and the ability to communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Daily
check in of all color samples and prototypes as they are received. Prepare all development samples for customer meetings and trade shows.
Create and build clear and effective line sheets to help facilitate customer meetings.
Manage, track, and monitor special orders from suppliers to ensure samples will meet order deadlines. There will be special projects as assigned and the ability to attend trade shows as needed. This a great opportunity to work with a growing company.
Minimum 1-3 years experience in product development or production,
Must have excellent, detail oriented communication skills through all channels and must have ability to communicate in emails clearly and effectively with suppliers and overseas colleagues.
Computer proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Photoshop, Illustrator a plus
