The Product Manager II position will use their industry knowledge to focus on developing new strategies and products which promote the growth of our fee-based businesses. This position will be responsible for researching and tracking payment system market trends, indentifying new product concepts and opportunities and the development of business cases including cost and revenue projections. In order to be successful the candidate will work across multiple business lines including; IT, Bank Operations, Commercial Product, Treasury Sales, Commercial Card, Merchant Services as well with Commerce Bank customers and prospects. A successful candidate will be self-driven, have the ability to formulate new ideas and concepts with limited direction and be able to communicate these ideas to all business partners in a manner that will promote innovation within the payments system teams.

Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:

- Participating on cross-functional teams to develop future product strategies

- Internal promotion of products

- Providing leadership amongst product partners to identify and develop product positioning strategies that align with corporate goals and objectives

- Educating product and sales partners on industry trends

- Partnering with payments systems experts across the organization to ensure proper alignment of product strategies

- Document and communicate the long-term strategic vision for their product(s)

- Attending select industry events and conferences

Work Hours: Monday - Friday (8am to 5pm); Additional as required; Some travel will be required

Education: College degree preferred

Preferred applicants will have:

5+ years of product management / development or equivalent experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Cash Management

- Remittance Processing

- Electronic Payments (ACH, Wire, Card, Merchant Services)

Solid understanding of corporate revenue cycle

Previous customer sales experience

A successful candidate will also have the following:

- Understanding of the product life cycle

- An aptitude for problem resolution

- Excellent written and oral skills

- An ability to work with all levels: clerical, managerial, customers and vendors

- Excellent skills in the use of PCs: Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, Visio and Project
