PRODUCT MANAGER III
The M&T Technology organization provides support to M&T businesses in the areas of network & telecommunications, systems, desktops and application services, along with data center operations.
DEVELOPMENT (WHAT WILL YOU LEARN BY DOING THIS JOB):
Increased ability to manage large, complex Digital Workspace infrastructure Initiatives and Products.
Enhanced leadership skills in a highly complex technical environment.
Enhanced communication and management skills by interacting with operational and engineering teams.
Learn to integrate input from diverse sources and establish appropriate process controls.
Learn to interact with Senior Management and Business Managers.
Be involved in development of new management processes to measure productivity, quality and control.
Be involved and responsible for major Technology initiatives with Enterprise and cross-business impact.
Transform M&Ts Product management function from a siloed, technology, component focused and non-standardized service delivery organization into a pro-active, customer and productservice focused delivery organization with an emphasis on end-to-end ownership of Digital Workspace products and services as well as accountability for costs for that product line.
Financial recovery and success of M&T Digital Workspace products / services. This includes ensuring that services are effectively developed, launched on schedule, and communicated to customers when they are available.
Assigned to relevant Digital Workspace Products and/or Services eg. Desktop, WirelessMobile Services etc., ensuring full operational and costs models are in place prior to client implementation.
Responsible for implementing M&Ts Product management process to bring products/services to market on time, sunset EOL/EOS products/services and increase customer satisfaction.
Will work and collaborate very closely with the Financial Control Teams, Procurement, Operations Managers (OMs), The Engineering Heads (GEHs) and their teams.
Standardized and Simplified Product/Service choices within the Digital Workspace.
Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements with the product management life cycle.
Ensure consistent tracking and reporting are in place for assigned products and/or services.
Ensure M&Ts Service Catalog remains current with assigned products and/or services
EXPECTED OUTCOMES (WHAT WILL "SUCCESS" LOOK LIKE IN 12 MONTHS):
Published roadmap of assigned products / services with timing of EOL/EOS and new product implementations
M&T Service Catalog is current with assigned products/services and product/services simplified
Successfully integrate with other M&T colleagues (Engineering, Operations, CyberSecurity, App Dev etc.) and have established collaborative relationships with the applicable teams.
Understand the financial models in detail and able to calculate/project the TCO/ROI of assigned products.
Enhance the current product management lifecycle (PMLC) and implement process changes for more effective tracking.
Proactive management of risks and issues and all initiatives.
KEY CHALLENGES (WHAT IS THE WORK/MARKET ENVIRONMENT):
Managing multiple priorities in a constantly changing environment.
Managing the expectations of senior technical and business managers.
Establishing working relationships with business unit clients and the M&T functional teams.
Ability to assimilate key issues and concepts and develop processes to measure and improve.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 7 years proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience, or in lieu of a degree a combined minimum of 11 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 7 years, proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience.
Minimum of 2 years managerial and/or leadership experience.
Experience in managing new process development, product development and implementation.
Excellent organization skills, demonstrated sense of responsibility and results oriented.
Excellent communication (verbal/written) skills.
Effective relationship builder and team player.
Proven and Strong leadership skills.
Ability to manage and deliver in a large matrix environment
