Product Manager - Lighting / Controls
We're on the hunt for a Product Manager on behalf of a client. In this position, you'll identify technology, channel, product, price, promotion, and placement trends to prioritize product actions that deliver the greatest return on investment of engineering and capital resources. You'll also direct and oversee all aspects of product lifecycle management including understanding market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field in the lighting/controls industry. You'll be responsible for translating unmet customer needs into product offerings that increase revenue, profits and market penetration.

JOB DUTIES including cost reduction, quality and performance upgrades and other actions as required
Product - support the appropriate vertical and other matrix leaders to endorse and develop business case for the product roadmap and to grow the product revenues and profits after launch
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years experience with product management and/or category management for technology products (including hardware, firmware, and software).
Experience in lighting/controls strongly preferred.
Experience in product strategy development, multi-generational roadmap development, and product development or a technology product - from concept through and including launch and post-launch maintenance is required
Candidate should have a successful record working in a matrix environment for a Fortune 500 company, and presenting to and working with decision makers, influencers, and other stakeholders--both internal and external
Experience working with 3rd party electrical manufacturers is desirable
Bachelor's degree in engineering / finance / marketing / other related business disciplines, MBA preferred
Able to travel up to 30%
