JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY: Responsibility will include the development of the vacuum & blower systems product line, along with focus on pricing strategy to match strategic intent and profitability targets.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

*

Develop comprehensive business development strategy for assigned line of product(s) by understanding what factors influence it including: key markets, growth trends, customer drivers, industry and competitive analysis, environmental conditions, technologies, and capabilities.
*

Identify new business opportunities within the vacuum & blower systems family.
*

Build a product roadmap that will provide the Company with distinct differentiation in its product and service offering.
*

Write effective market and product requirement documents and prepare meaningful business cases and plans.
*

Lead project team (stakeholders = Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain), taking inputs and challenges, setting priorities, and securing the development of market and customer-focused products. Resolve and escalate issues in a timely fashion as appropriate.
*

Lead New Product Development process and line addition and enhancement initiatives in support of Policy Deployment.
*

Lead the development and measurement of quality and reliability parameters and requirements to ensure product sustainability.
*

Determine and establish product cost parameters, product pricing, and SUM forecasting.
*

Deliver clear guidelines to Sales organization relating to positioning and value proposition, product specifications, volume estimates, target sales prices, phase-in and phase-out plans, etc.
*

Identify potential value-minded customers and applications, conduct value chain analysis, competitor assessment and value propositions.
*

Develop value based pricing models and make pricing recommendations.
*

Create material and application development recommendations and external promotional concepts.
*

Partner with the Sales organization to implement business development strategies and adjust as needed to achieve revenue, volume, and margin goals in alignment with Policy Deployment.
*

Create and maintain relationships with key customers, industry leaders and professional organizations that are strategic to the maintenance and growth of the market.
*

Identify opportunities and threats in the market by attending trade shows and symposiums and interfacing with customers, vendors and other sources.
*

Monitor economic and legislative changes that may affect market.
*

Maintain detailed competitor analysis.
*

Provide key input to annual policy deployment.
*

Create KPIs and measure of ROI for marketing and sales programs. Produce performance reports monthly.
*

Establish cost effective, efficient promotional activities to support Policy Deployment working with Marketing Communications.

EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
*

2-3+ years product marketing or product management experience in a manufacturing environment, as well as technical experience in industrial equipment or product sales.
*

Experience in developing and executing marketing and strategic plans and the ability to demonstrate understanding and execution of these processes.
*

Demonstrated strong business acumen including interpretation of financial statements.
*

Demonstrated assertive, persuasive, and creative problem solving skills.
*

Excellent communication skills to include verbal, written, interpersonal, and listening.
*

Motivated, disciplined, and goal-oriented.
*

Excellent organizational, problem solving, analytical and project management skills.
*

Persuasive presentation development and delivery skills (internal and external).
*

Proficient in the use of the personal computer and the Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
*

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
*

MBA with specialization in Strategy, Marketing or Global Business Development desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
*

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds of force frequently.
*

Work environment includes both office and manufacturing floor setting - temperatures will vary.

Travel less than 30% but must be willing to travelinternationally as well
