JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs and oversees all aspects of product life cycle management including understanding market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
*

Manages the strategic product roadmap, product development, and product launch in order to gain maximum benefit from each product
*

Ensure objectives are incorporated into a 90-day plan, kaizen events and general projects
*

Through detailed market analytics, identify technology, channel, product, price, promotion, and placement trends to prioritize product actions
*

Act as subject matter expert for product level promotions by providing technical product content
*

Provide product training for internal and external customers
*

Identify competitive threats early and drive securement and analysis for competitive products from packaging to component costs in conjunction with supply chain and engineering partners
*

Accurately translate market needs into detailed product specifications
*

Develop a product life strategy to include product pricing, adoption strategy, and product samples
*

Assign appropriate brands on new products to align with applicable positioning strategy
*

Conduct ongoing analysis of the industry, competitor, and technology landscape to ensure that the product's life cycle is effectively monitored and measured to drive the company's strategic objectives
*

Establish product list pricing based on competitive intelligence and product positioning strategy

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

*

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Finance/Business (MBA Preferred)
*

5+ years experience in product marketing and product category management. STRONG marketing acumen, with a focus on technology
*

Experience in significant strategic changes to product roadmap, product families
*

Experience with implementation of brand strategy changing at least one key element (such as consolidation of brands, expansion in to adjacent markets with existing products, launch into new markets, significant GTM change, entry to new channels, leverage new technology)
*

Experience with successful development and launch of multiple products
