Product Materials Manager (PMM) / Materials Program Manager (MPM)

The Product Materials Manager (PMM) is responsible for the continuity of supply from New Productions through Production to End of Life for a variety of Blue Coat Products. The PMM will work with global ODMs to ensure the best cost, quality and delivery metrics are met to Blue Coat standards. The PMM will also actively work with internal and external cross functional teams to support New Products and sustaining activities, in addition to driving new Blue Coat initiatives. As a Product Materials Manager, you will:
Manage a variety of partners consisting of ODM solutions simultaneously. Activities would include, but are not limited to, material planning, forecasts, on time deliveries, supply chain integrity and quarterly cost reduction and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
Manage various aspects of materials management within Oracle, including purchase orders, new part setups, and item attributes.
Active participation in Product Lifecycle decisions regarding ODM solutions & roadmap transitions.
Strategic relationship development with ODMs through regular reviews, including leading cross functional meetings.
New Product Introduction activities, including but not limited to, request for quote, material readiness, ODM solutions readiness, and supply chain integrity.
Lead change to drive consistency in internal and external supply chain to best practice implementation.
Implements strategic initiatives and process improvements for Materials related processes and tasks.
Interpret data to provide recommendation and solutions based upon general guidelines, specific feedback during discussions, leveraging past experiences and examples provided/discussed.
Education and Experience:
Minimum requirement of a Bachelor s degree in business, supply chain management, operations management, or related field. MBA preferred
8+ years of experience in Materials Management or related fields
Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
LEAN/Six-Sigma Manufacturing experience (desired)
Excellent knowledge and understanding of material management
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and maximize internal resources
Experience leading and defining requirements and driving these across diverse organizations
Advanced Excel skills and understanding of other business applications (ie: Word, PowerPoint, Agile)
Knowledge of ERP applications (ie: Oracle)
