The Product Planner is responsible for:

LI Contributing to the overall achievement of inventory targets by creating specific analysis related to sales trends, customer purchase behavior, and production capacity
LI Processing and analyzing product forecasts, procurement, and inventory control to ensure the adequacy of inventory levels and allocation plans
LI Providing product availability information to sales and marketing through different inventory reports, and ensuring that inventory targets are met monthly according to plan

The core accountabilities are:

Inventory Management:
LI Creates and submits product forecasts to SEC for assigned product line
LI Creates and maintains inventory planning report (IPR) for assigned product group
LI Procures product to ensure adequate inventory to meet sales forecasts and planned DOS
LI Collaborates with sales and marketing to develop product forecasts
LI Analyze sales forecasts, product trends, and inventory levels to optimize sales and while ensuring an adequate inventory
LI Ensures accurate new product set-up information (e.g. sku, description, weights)
LI Provides vendors with timely orders adjustment requests based on current market conditions
LI Creates and prepares inventory key data point reports

Logistics Management:
LI Participates in monthly meetings with the different vendors to agree on shipments dates or product availability information
LI Discusses production capacity of vendors to determine product availability
LI Collaborates with marketing to determine product transition plans for introduction and discontinuance
LI Provides Import/Export the appropriate product description to ensure customs compliance
LI Monitors lead time of shipments to ensure that DOS are met

LI Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.)
LI 8+ years of experience in a similar role
LI SAP experience preferred
LI Must be highly proficient in MS Excel, Access
LI Strong database management and reporting skills are a must
LI Bilingual Spanish/English skills a plus
