JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary: The Production Associate performs repetitive manufacturing and assembly tasks to build and produce high quality window products.
The work is performed while under the guidance of the Supervisor / Assistant Supervisor. Regular shift hours - Monday through Friday, 4:30 pm -- 12:30 am. Overtime as needed, including an occasional Saturday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
¿ Perform repetitive assembly tasks using hand and power tools, and automated equipment to build and produce high quality window products.
¿ Retrieve parts from green rack according to the pick list and deliver to the line. Report defective parts or questionable conditions to supervisor.
¿ Perform light fabrication (drill holes, measure, cut, saw) to facilitate product sub-assembly.
¿ Slide, lay, snap, crank or otherwise assemble materials to produce sub-assembly or finished product.
¿ Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
¿ Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
¿ Ability to communicate in oral or written English to carry out essential functions.
¿ Ability to read and understand visual and written assembly instructions on a computer screen to retrieve parts from a pick list.
¿ Ability to be cross-trained in multiple functions within and between multiple department lines.
¿ Ability to operate hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble.
¿ Ability to maintain regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality.
Additional Responsibilities: Assist with inventory maintenance. Assist in the training/mentoring of new associate(s). Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Training: High school diploma/degree or GED is required. Related computer experience or production experience is preferred.
