Primary Characteristics
Identifies the business needs to enhance the business process or provide solutions to business problems in alignment with a project plan or request that is determined by the Project Manager and/or Business Owner. Prepares detailed written business specifications for execution of pre-defined business objectives and follows project through to completion.

Essential Functions
* Research, gather, and define accurate detailed business requirements based on project objectives
* Define technical and systems requirements supporting business requirements
* Define functional requirements supporting business requirements
* Create clear and organized written specifications for all requirements
* Communicate and coordinate activities associated with accomplishing the business objective with various resources
* Manage, document, and communicate change in requirements
* Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with the appropriate business users
* Reports status and issues periodically to insure proper executions and escalations
* Maintain and prioritize and multiple projects with minimal supervision
* Resolve and trouble shoot various production issues that arise

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
* Must have strong analytical skills in order to solve complex and unusual technical and business situations
* Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as delivery skills for written specifications, business timelines and presentations
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all staffing levels
* Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently
* Must have the ability to work accurately and efficiently under intense time pressure
* Must be able to maintain planning and organization across multiple projects
* Must have the ability to exercise independent judgment in order to manage varied complex projects from inception through completion
* Must have the ability to learn quickly and comprehend many technical and business concepts

Training and Experience
* BA/BS degree in related field preferred
* 5 years of Business Analyst experience
* Project leadership experience
* 3 years experience in field of mortgage banking
* Required technical skills in writing SQL queries
* Database and XML knowledge
* Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
