Main Duties & Responsibilities
The Production Control Manager is responsible for the day-to-day production scheduling, coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities. Responsibilities include directing the performance management of the production control department while evaluating processes to improve quality, service and manufacturing costs for the operations.

Oversee the production scheduling process of five production lines to achieve sales objectives.
Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, etc
Determine job order priorities on bottleneck operations to ensure On Time Delivery of products to Customers.
Analyze variances to production schedules and identify capacity requirements for machines and assembly lines.
Gathers and load information into planning tools and provide regular updates.
Increase part and component availability by improving planning process and inventory accuracy.
Allocate planning resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed for a safe working environment.
1 Knowledge of proper shipping and receiving practices, raw materials, production processes, quality controls, and costs
2 Knowledge of people, material, and equipment resource allocation, teaming, production methods, and understanding and use of ERP/MRP related systems (Syteline preferred)
3 Good computer skills and ability to query, monitor, and input MRP system data
4 Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
5 Consider costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
6 Able to establish and communicate clear priorities and to influence others to support and act on those priorities
7 Demonstrated leadership ability
8 Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required Education and Experience
10 years of planning or materials related experience in a manufacturing environment
A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a management role leading professionals.
A BA or BS degree in Operations or a related field; or a degree in a technical discipline is preferred
Experience using Syteline MRP/ERP a plus.
