JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety, Regulatory, and Process Safety
Assist site compliance to management systems.
Ensure all changes to equipment or procedures follow EMOC procedure.
Ensure the HWP process, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and energy isolation procedures are adhered to by all employees and contractors.
Participate to internal and external audits: utilize Web Audit Manager and Synergy to execute, document all corrective actions issued to the site from Audits and Incidents review (when applicable).
Help maintain site security and maintain work area in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
Contribute to team awareness of co-worker and personal safety through proper work habits, good housekeeping skills, and appropriate usage of personal protective equipment.
Understand, monitor and take corrective actions to ensure positive effect of unit effluent and emissions on local environment.
Promptly inform management of safety accidents, unsafe conditions, environmental problems or production operations problems.

Reliability
Planning and executing of major and minor plant maintenance activities including management and oversight of contractors.
Ensure all equipment condition monitoring parameters are reviewed and in within limits.
Provide turnaround scopes to scheduling, sales, reliability group etc.
Maintain current Site procedures and Contingency Plan information.

Process Operation and Efficiency
Monitor key process parameters (including power) to ensure overall reliability of plant operations in zone. Maintain production records and logs. Diagnose and remedy process problems
Safely and Efficiently supervise and conduct plant start-up and shut-down operations in accordance with approved site work instructions
Support the production plan - interface with the ROC (where applicable) and the national operations center (NOC) (where applicable).
Ensure work instructions are adhered to.
Act as process expert and know when to escalate problems to Regional or Central levels.
Ensure compliance with corporate standards and best operating practices.
Work effectively with organization support groups to improve reliability and costs.

Customer Aspects
Follow all Quality Control requirements to ensure a quality product is delivered to Linde s customers. Meet FDA requirements (where applicable). Conduct quality assurance testing and maintain all required documentation
Serve as customer liaison when needed in resolution of operational issues.
Promote customer focus
Manage customer reporting process (if applicable).
Provide technical support to commercial account representatives.

Other
Support zone production manager with staff training and growth through computerized training program and performance management process.
Contribute to site security efforts through continuous observance of site security procedures
Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors are appropriately trained.
Availability for On-call duty and other hours as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor Degree - Engineering degree Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical degree is required

Minimum of 2 years experience in a related process plant

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

Ability to climb to heights 200 ft above grade and work effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in an operations and reliability activity is preferred.
Six Sigma certification a plus.
Demonstrated track record in solid safety performance.
Valid drivers license with good record.
Personal computer proficiency (Internet, word processing, spreadsheets), and other software used by the company.
Strong organizational ability - Ability to with working independently with little direct supervision.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal abilities to support mentoring/coaching activities.
Aptitude for Project management/Change management.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Familiarity with relevant OSHA standards.
Ability to interpret engineering and electrical drawings.
