JOB DESCRIPTIONAdecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for three Mid Shift and Night Shift Production Supervisor Job south of Erie, PA, for our client, a busy, growing manufacturer of quality food products. The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the production process from raw material input to final product packaging on a manufacturing shift. They will also provide leadership for their shift and ensure product quality, production efficiency, schedule attainment, safety, and employee relations and engagement. These positions are located in southern Erie County, Pennsylvania and are 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) or 3rd shift (11 pm -7:00 am). Weekend overtime may be required to meet production demands, particularly in high demand season. These positions offer a competetive starting salary, based on experience and experience in the food industry. Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor Job near Erie, PA:
*Provide leadership and operational direction to the shift?s of hourly manufacturing associates.
*Work with the Production Manager to execute an operational strategy that meets the requirements of the business.
*Manage production to achieve customer service requirements while adhering to high standards of quality.
*Execute manufacturing quality programs to achieve the required quality and food safety programs, and to assure adherence to the product specifications.
*Manage safety, labor efficiency, and quality and continuous improvement.
*Maintain sanitation standards and function to meet all regulatory, company, and customer requirements with regard to food safety and quality.
*Lead an effective associate relations program as measured by satisfaction, retention, people development, and union avoidance.
*Four year degree in a related, business or technical field such as food science, operations management, engineering, or the equivalent in experience.
*Two years of experience in production management or supervision, preferably in the food processing industry
*Experience in lean manufacturing.
*Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
*Effective mechanical aptitude.
*Demonstrated ability to manage hourly production associates in executing complex, operational programs.
*Ability to work a varied scheduled and overtime if needed.
