Opportunity:
Under Plant Manager s direction, plans, organizes and directs the production operations to provide components and/or finished goods on time, per scheduled quantities, within budget and meeting the customer s requirements; performs other duties and tasks as assigned, at the level of responsibility and authority of this position.

Division Information:
The Corporate division is the central operating unit of the company setting strategy and policy and providing business development, finance, human resources, information technology, investor relations and legal support to the businesses. Company headquarters are located just outside of Philadelphia in Wayne, PA.

Position Description:
Knowledge of:

Manufacturing methods and production operations.

The goals and functions of a diversified program of production operations.

The principles and practices of administration, with emphasis on organization, personnel, supervision and budgetary planning and control.

Program planning and evaluation methods.

Office practices including computer functions/applications.

Basic research methods and elements of report writing; basic statistical methods and their uses.

Ability to:

Plan, organize and direct a comprehensive production program.

Generate and evaluate alternatives, analyze data, reach logical conclusions, formulate recommendations, and institute effective changes.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with company officials subordinates vendors, customers and other staff of the departments.

Speak and write effectively; prepare and present clear and comprehensive reports.

Design and implement new procedures and evaluation techniques for technical and administrative operations.

Formulate program policies and identify needs.

Analyze corporate and administrative problems and determine appropriate actions.

Read and interpret specifications, rules, and regulations.

Effectively manage a staff and deal tactfully and effectively with others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manages and directs production.

Develops and manages annual department budgets for department operations and capital.

Achieves production planning of departmental objectives.

Serves as liaison between manufacturing and internal/external departments.

Ensures cGMP and ISO compliance for all manufacturing operations and products

Maintains focus and priority on the programs or projects designed to accomplish the long-term objectives and eliminate the root cause of corrective actions while still maintaining an effective short term fix programs.

Maintains focus to ensure and to improve the effort to produce the lowest cost products with the highest quality and service levels to meet the requirements of the business and customers.

Maintains the balance between customer service, inventory levels, and financial goals in the production and support departments.

Evaluates subordinates, develops and implements training plans to ensure department employees meet required level of expertise to effectively complete their assigned duties.

Determines cost effective production run sizes for finished goods and sub-assemblies.

Develops departmental operating budget, implements controls to operate within the budget.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

Searches for new ways of scheduling production and bring in raw materials.

Enhances growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, training meetings and workshops.

Participates actively in continuous quality improvement activities through compliance with safety standards.

Demonstrates professional responsibilities by cooperating with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and departmental goals and objectives.

Maintains compliance with principles of accepted employee conduct as identified in the Teleflex employee handbook and as specified in departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:
Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing management experience in medical manufacturing and/or plastics industry in an FDA cGMP regulated environment, that involved accountability and implementation in planning, organization, and operations. This experience must have included responsibility for budget planning and control.

Education:

Bachelor s degree in Engineering
