Production Supervisor

Garelick Farms now has an opening for a Production Supervisor.

It?s a Third Shift opportunity and we?d like to find one of those rare and valued individuals who prefer the night. We know you folks are out there ? we employ many.
All of our Supervisors share weekend and holiday work in a rotation.

Garelick Farms is one of the largest of the 90 business units that comprise Dean Foods ? the nation?s largest Dairy processor. The Lynn facility is one of our most dynamic with a progressive management team, wide variety of products and a spectacularly diverse workforce.

Are you ready for a challenge? The pace at any successful dairy is relentless and Lynn has the added adrenaline rush of a workforce spread over 3 floors handling everything from inbound materials, bottle production, filling, packing and shipping. There?s never a dull moment.

You will be an independent professional responsible for 25-30 hardworking people and will also interface with Maintenance, Shipping, Distribution and Warehousing. You will be expected to unfailingly uphold the highest standards for Safety, Quality and ever-increasing efficiency.

This is a hands-on opportunity to lead people and forge a reputation among the 23,000 employees at this Fortune 500 (203 in 2010) organization. Although not easy work, it?s exhilarating to bring great products to people.

You must have at least 2 years combined experience as a Supervisor in a manufacturing environment that upholds the highest quality specifications.

You must hold yourself and motivate others to consistently high standards.

Experience within Food/Beverage production would be very helpful. A Bachelor?s Degree is required although internal candidates may substitute experience.

$55,000.00 or more based on what you bring. Up to 5% annual bonus based on what you accomplish.

IF you have worked in a manufacturing facility that rapidly processes food or similarly regulated products for at least 5 years;

Requirements:
- Bachelor?s degree preferred, or a minimum of 2 years plant experience. - Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices. - Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications. - Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies. - Excellent verbal/written communication skills. - Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change. - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail. - Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines. - Ability to select, coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees.
