JOB DESCRIPTIONSoftware Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for Production
Support for a contract assignment with one of our premier clients in Raleigh,
NC.Responsibilities: Develop a thorough understanding of the CRO IT environment.
IT Support for the issues reported against CRO IT applications and resolve
them in a timely manner. Monitoring of scheduled batch jobs, as well as
the identification of process improvements (e.g. automation of the manual
monitoring process). Responsibility for the OLAs and SLAs between IT to
IT and IT to business. Proactive communication of batch job delays to users
and senior management. Escalation of critical and high priority issues
to the senior management. Full root cause analysis and a detailed investigation
of issues in the agreed time. Ownership for the IT/incident tickets open
in the area of responsibility. A key member which is supporting and coordinating
credit risk IB month-, quarter- and year end processes. Strong collaboration
with the application development teams and the other relevant interfaces.Required
Skills: University (or equivalent) qualification in an IT/Scientific subject.
5 years' plus experience in an IT Support role (ideally in front or middle
office in IB). Fundamental Banking/Finance/Risk knowledge is required.
Practical experience with Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting. Experience with
SQL (ideally Oracle / Sybase). Knowledge of multiple technologies is an
