JOB DESCRIPTIONProduction Technician, Finishing - Kohler, WI
Do you have experience in a manufacturing environment with assembly, finishes or coatings? Do you thrive on changing priorities and learning new functions? If so, apply to Kohler Co.'s Global Faucets organization on our new Finish-to-Order (F2O) manufacturing team as a Production Technician. This role will be responsible for executing daily production orders by following job instructions and established practices. The tasks will include: component plating, brushing, buffing and spaying both lacquer and organic coatings. While working on this start-up team, the Technician will have input on material flow, storage methodology and process changes related to the F20 center. The technician will also be required to partner in creation of job instructions, establish maintenance schedules and Standard Operating Procedures. Manufacturing experience is required and on the job training will be provided. * High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate Degree or Technical Diploma preferred.
* Must have experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in coating industry preferred.
* Ability to learn operation of production machinery including start up and shut down.
* Computer proficiency is required with the ability to use Microsoft Office, e-mail and ERP systems. Previous experience with SAP preferred.
* Demonstrated ability of acquiring new mechanical and computer skills strongly preferred.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with customer service orientation to achieve creative manufacturing solutions
