The Professional Registered Nurse in the OR/Surgical Services Department, works in collaboration with patient-care team members to provide patient centered care related to the surgical patient in an operating room that offers diverse service opportunities, participating in the cutting edge technology at Tufts Medical Center. The Operating Room Registered Nurse will also use and develop skills in caring for patients throughout the life span, with consideration of the aging process, with a population that is culturally diverse and includes approximately 30% pediatric patients. The current volume is 13,000 cases per year in specialties that include neurosurgery, orthopedics, general, vascular, G.U., dental, ENT, robotics, bariatric, colorectal, thoracic, posterior and anterior eyes, transplants, and cardiac, with some specialization available. REQUIREMENTS:Must have 2 years of OR RN scrub and circulation experienceBachelor s Degree preferred Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License RequiredBCLS & ACLS requiredCNOR preferred
