This position will function as a Country Lead in the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Preparedness Program. The Country Lead is responsible for managing a portfolio of partner nation activities. The Country Lead will assist Cubic and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in developing partner nation combatting weapons of mass destruction (C-WMD) through building partnership capacity (BPC) activities. The Country Lead must understand, identify, and characterize mission requirements to assist partner nations in developing Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Companies, CBRN Platoons, incident management systems, and national response plans related to HazMat and CBRN. The successful candidate will work closely with the customer organization and Cubic subject matter experts to plan and validate support to training and equipping missions overseas. The primary tasks include implementing, tracking, and assessing support plans through analysis, project management, and communication with subject matter experts, functional managers, vendors, subcontractors, and partner nation personnel. The Country Lead will conduct extensive international travel to their portfolio of countries.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify training, procurement, and shipping requirements for partner nation CBRN or HazMat activities
Manage the execution of support plans
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prioritize work and complete multiple tasks under deadlines
Possess excellent reasoning and problem solving skills
Work well within a team consisting of personnel from the customer, Department of State, Combatant Command, partner nation, Cubic colleagues,
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at a minimum of a Secret level.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor s Degree required. Degrees in international relations, political science, or similar disciplines preferred
Demonstrated experience supporting or analyzing military CBRN operations, HazMat response, or Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) required
Experience working with the Department of Defense is desired, Defense Threat Reduction Agency is a plus
Experience in developing, delivering, or supporting individual and team training and curriculum is desired
Experience in developing, delivering, or supporting collective training and exercises is desired
Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools required.
Be able to transport and lift 40-pound boxes of documents and equipment
Must be able to travel unaccompanied to foreign and domestic locations
