The Program Coordinator, Neurodiagnostics shall have a thorough knowledge and proficiency in the skill of neurodiagnostic practice and procedures. The program coordinator will have clinical responsibility and well as responsibility for program development and ongoing education. Clinical responsibility will include preparation of the patient, the conduct of EEG examinations and collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests. The coordinator develops expertise in other electrophysiologic studies to perform them with minimal supervision. The employee will assist in achieving and maintaining a high quality of diagnostic healthcare that is beneficial to the physicians and patients. The coordinator is responsible for the daily operations in a safe and functional manner. The coordinator will schedule patients, assign tasks, schedule shifts, as well as overseeing the training and development of staff. Program development will include working with the Medical Director to research, plan, evaluate and implement an accredited education program in Neurodiagnostic Technology which meets the standards of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. This program will educate current staff, incoming staff and potential external clients. Will create a curriculum to ensure the achievement of program goals and course objectives. The curriculum must meet or exceed the CoA-NDT content requirements.
Five years' experience performing various neurodiagnostic procedures in a hospital or physician's office.
Prior experience in academic or clinical education. Seizure monitoring experience
