The Program Coordinator will oversee the logistics of the Racial Reconciliation and Healing Project goals for the duration of the Kellogg Foundation 9/16 - 6/17.

Management Racial Reconciliation Calendar:
o Develop and manage shared Google Calendar for two Project Leaders
o Schedule meetings, follow up with reminders and screen candidates
o Assist with content management in key meetings and participate in strategic planning

Administer pre-post surveys and assist with other evaluation activities

Racial Reconciliation and Healing Project Coordination:
o Assist with recruitment and interviewing process with youth
o Codify curriculum changes and update other programmatic differences as the year progresses
o Manage youth salaries, attendance and other case management duties
o Assist youth with accessing support time form clinical social worker
o Contribute to curriculum development
o Oversee evaluation, process during sessions and the pre and post surveys

Receive faculty training in the RRH Model: The Racial Reconciliation and Healing Program gives faculty the opportunity to explore three core elements of racial justice work: a Radical Democrat framework, how to interlace the head and the heart, and the different roles of people of color and whites in dismantling racism. Faculty will develop tools to support youth in their understanding of these three elements. There is an assumption that new faculty will be aligned with the elements themselves prior to beginning the program:


Minimum Required:

Some college or Associates Degree


Bachelors Degree

Additional Specialized Training - not associated with a degree (e.g. Medical Assistant Certificate)

Required: One year experience working with a racial justice organization


Strong background in racial justice work:

o Comfort with our RRH model elements and a willingness to develop expertise in explaining them to outside partners.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills: intersectional understanding of oppression and structural inequity and ability to communicate across multiple differences and experiences

Computer and social media literacy.

Ability to use your cell phone for communication

Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple projects

Ability to manage own time and work independently from a variety of locations

Unassailable sense of humor and fundamental belief that transformative change can happen


Works within legal, regulatory, accreditation and ethical practice standards relevant to the position and as established by BWH/Partners, follows safe practices required for the position, complies with appropriate BWH and Partners policies and procedures, fulfills any training required by BWH and/or Partners, as appropriate, brings potential matters of non-compliance to the attention of the supervisor or other appropriate hospital staff.
