EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education/Social Science, or related field and five (5) years experience in appropriate field of program to include two (2) years in supervisory capacity.

JOB DUTIES

Analyzes, coordinates, and evaluates program operation and procedures.
Develops or oversees development of budget for program.
Develops, cultivates, and maintains working relationships with internal/external departments/agencies and other organizations associated with and/or receiving benefit from program.
Establishes program goals and objectives and directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and/or approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals; provides supervision to program staff.
Plans and coordinates special events. Participates in conferences. Presents data and program information.
Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Reads literature and attends functions to keep abreast of relevant scientific and technical developments related to program.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is for a fellowship program coordinator, who will manage several fellowship programs (1-2 fellows in each). Experience with graduate medical education and accreditation policies is preferred.



Establishes program goals and objectives and directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and/or approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals; provides supervision to program staff. Creates, reviews, and maintains policies and procedures in accordance with university and accrediting agency standards (i.e. ACGME) to ensure compliance. Interprets policy for faculty, staff, residents, fellows, and students.

Maintains records and documentation of activities of program participants, including appointments, terminations, and verification of training for multiple fellowship programs; prepares complex reports and surveys for university administration and/or accrediting agencies regarding statistical information on education programs within department or unit.

Manages recruitment and admission activities of unit, which may include coordinating production of brochures/recruitment materials, overseeing interview process, maintaining records of applicants, compiling statistical data on applicants, and preparing reports on admissions activities.
