Established in 1986, The Denver Clinic for Extremities at Risk (DCER) at P/SL is a comprehensive upper and lower extremity program focusing on single system trauma, bone and soft tissue tumors in both adults and children, bone healing problems, amputations and complex prosthetic infections. The multidisciplinary team of orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, vascular surgeons, oncologists, infectious disease specialists and pediatric subspecialists collaboratively manage these complex and difficult issues. The program is actively involved in research involving treatment approaches for extremity

disease and injury, including a treatment protocol that has resulted in the best reported long-term survival rate for adults and children diagnosed with osteosarcoma.



The Program Director of The Denver Clinic for Extremities at Risk (DCER) plans, organizes, and directs all strategic and business development related functions and activities (internal and external) within his / her realm of responsibility for Orthopedic Services at P/SL & RMHC. Their sphere of influence also includes working with programs and physicians involved in the The Denver Clinic for Extremities at Risk, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Spine, Research, Vascular Surgery, Outreach, Marketing, Community Relations, Inpatient and Outpatient Services, various navigation programs, and other services and relationships with internal and external organizations.



Coordinates and manages all components of the weekly Continuing Medical Education (CME) case conference development and presentations including WebEx capacity and expansion.
Provides administrative support for the Sarah Cannon Sarcoma and other growth initiatives.
Organize and provide administrative support for Outreach presentations and referral networking.
Create and maintain the DCER website in partnership with Marketing.
Lead the development of a strategic DCER marketing plan in a manner that enhances the health system s other managed care efforts.
Create and distribute quarterly newsletter
Support the organization/planning/building and branding of the new Denver Clinic facility
Directs and manages the planning of new programs and/or services.
Works closely with medical staff members to solicit feedback regarding the program. Solicits new ideas regarding the function, constantly looking to enhance patient and family services.
Maintains a customer orientation and demands a customer-focused approach from all who provide services though the service line.
Monitors surgical productivity and profitability and for the service and creates strategic action plans to meet operational objectives.
Represents DCER to area hospitals, physicians and payers in order to generate referral relationships, coordinate outreach and educational programs.
services and the planning of and implementing of new programs, outreach activities, the development of research opportunities, and the coordinating of marketing activities.
Develops, monitors and oversees implementation of strategic and business development plans in coordination with senior operations and medical leadership

* POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



* LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: None required.



* EDUCATION: Bachelor s Degree with commensurate executive level experience; Master s Degree preferred.

A. EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience with at least three (3) years in Ortho/Neuro or related area preferred; multi-site experience preferred
