Job Description
MedStar Health Research Institute, the research arm for MedStar Health, provides scientific, administrative and regulatory support for research programs that complement the key clinical services and teaching programs in all nine hospitals in the MedStar Health system. The Institute is actively seeking qualified applications for a Program Manager for our Infectious Disease group located at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. The Program Manager is responsible for the management the Ryan White HIVAIDS Program at MedStar Washing ton Hospital Center. This position is funded under Ryan White Part C EIS as well as a subcontract of Part D through Childrens National Medical Center (CNMC). The position is responsible for comprehensive program and administrative management as well as Medical Case Management. The position provides services that engage HIV positive persons as well as family centered care to affected individuals in an effort to maximize health outcomes while acting in a leadership role and as the point of contact for Ryan White Program Services at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Education: Masters Degree in Social Work or RN Required Experience: Licensed in as a clinical social worker (LICSW) or RN with Ryan White Program experience and medical case management. Requires at least 3 years experience in an HIVAIDS clinical care setting at a management level with working knowledge of Ryan White Care Act funding services, CareWare data reporting, electronic medical records and quality improvement. Experience with vulnerable populations, specifically women of child-bearing age, adolescents and the elderly.
