In this role, the selected candidate will provide overall program leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of a given program, including scope alignment, cross functional collaboration, and implementation in an Agile framework. Job Title: Program ManagerJob Location: St. Louis, MODuration: 12 MonthsWhat you will do:Provide overall program leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of a given program, including scope alignment, cross functional collaboration, and implementation in an Agile frameworkCreate and maintain a consolidated program-level plan and review PM plans to ensure alignment to meet program timelines and objectives, including work-stream interdependenciesEstablish and manage change control, contingency planning, testing and launch readiness processesProvide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlinesPerform program financial oversight and analysisEnsure that the scope of the projects within the program align with business prioritiesManage program-level risks and interdependenciesPromote collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholdersPartner with IT and Business sponsors to lead steering team meetings and communicate program progress and status to steering team and senior managementLead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; drive escalation and resolution of issuesProvide technical expertise in planning, execution, and leadership of program, projects, and initiativesProvide program reporting and status to senior managementReview program budget variance and scope change requests, and participate in the budget-resolution processMaintain excellent relationships with all levels of the matrix organizationEstablish metrics that are true indicators of the program healthRequired Qualifications: Proven leadership and influence skills including the ability to influence when there is no direct reporting relationshipExperience in managing large sized projects/programs across multiple disciplines and/or teamsKnowledge or understanding of Agile software development lifecycle principles and methodologiesDemonstrated leadership ability, business acumen, and industry knowledgeProven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple sitesAbility to build networks and relationships at all levels of the organizationExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levelsExcellent facilitation and presentation skillsSuperior negotiation skillsStrong team orientation, collaboration skills, and interpersonal skillsStrong results orientationExpertise in defining and improving processesAbility to make difficult decisions and to involve others sufficiently in the decision-making process10 or more years of IT or business experience5 or more years of project management experienceBachelor s degreeDesired Skills: Strong background in plant breeding, genetics, and agronomyProject Management certification
