JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Superior Group is seeking a Program Manager for an exciting opportunity with an ever expanding company located in Thomasville, GA.
SCOPE: The Program Manager is responsible for the management of specific customer programs while directing the course of operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, and new product development teams as well as related projects across the business related to their program / account responsibilities.
Collaborate with business leaders to monitor and communicate on all program/projects.
Partner with team members to have successful customer programs: quality, cost, delivery, growth, profitability.
Drive and motivate the operational and engineering teams to deliver the product(s) to meet customer’s requirements.
Lead the operations planning, forecasting, and demand planning processes to ensure supply and service levels meet customer expectations.
Manage cost, margins, and profitability effectively.
Approve processed sales orders and conduct contract reviews before production begins.
Act as the centralized point of contact for their assigned customers and our company regarding sales orders management and program performance.
Manage the commercial aspect of the relationship between the client and the client's customers, growing the business through managing internal growth opportunities with the customers.
Responsible for program / project profit and margin responsibly – full P&L for customer / account base
Ensure favorable cash relative to customer programs and our business expectations.
Manage “scope creep” on NPI as well as legacy products and execute the proper financial assertions to the customer.
Manage claims with customers and driving successful resolution financially and relationship-wise.
Partner with Sales to lead and support the negotiation of contracts with customers.
Coordinate product decommissioning activities upon product rationalization decisions.
Maintain current and accurate ERP system master file data integrity (Item Master, Planning Records, Bill of Materials, MRP/DRP, Purchase Orders, Vendor Master, etc.).
Improve department policies and procedures in support of the most efficient operation and to maintain the highest levels of customer service.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication
Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proficient in structuring and formatting proposals
Strong knowledge of all the aspects of production and operations
Ability to interpret reports and make operational decisions
Strong influencing skills
Ability to simultaneously manage people and prioritize multiple requests even without direct reporting
Excellent organizational skills required
Up to 20%
4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management or relevant discipline is required.
3+ years’ experience in relevant operational and/or project management experience isrequired.
Program Management experience in aerospace manufacturing, precision machining, machine building, or relevant industry is required.
Project Management Professional Certification is a plus
