Basic Function

On a project basis, participates in the gathering and analysis of information for defining project scope, requirements,training and other change management documentation to support project delivery. Performs routine to complex analysis and research in support of business goals and strategies. Implements modifications to solve problems. Assists in day to day support.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in the planning and implementation of new projects, products, programs, and plans to achieve short and long term business objectives, develop project plans.

Assists the client in addressing problems/issues of any scope. Analyzes information, determines feasible solutions and makes recommendations.

Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations based upon performed analysis.

Plays a key role and an individual contributor on projects.

Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions, processes and operations.

Act as project leader in the execution of various complex and highly visible projects for the promotion and maintenance of the business.

Perform other assignments/projects as requested by management.

May project manage small to medium scope efforts, direct junior resources and coordinate tasks.

Adheres to all current standards and procedures and ensures all efforts are properly documented.

Supports development of communication plans, test plans and training plans

Maintains a thorough understanding of the business being supported and its functions, processes, operations and strategic direction. Maintains a detailed functional understanding of the supported application(s).

Participates in planning and implementing new policies and procedures that will improve the performance and effectiveness of the department.



Nature and Scope

The incumbent works under the supervision of the Project or Program Manager and is competent to work on all phases of project analysis and support, both independently and as part of a team.

The position requires substantial interaction with both internal and external contacts in order to obtain pertinent information.

The position acts as liaison between department and other business units on various projects.

The incumbent works independently under very limited supervision as well as a member or a project leader of a project team.

The Project Analyst IV understands the strategic plans of the client and makes recommendations to assist them in meeting their goals.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of two to four years college with at least six years experience in a technology/systems analysis or operational support environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree preferred.

Requires a detailed understanding of the client areas functions, strong analytical skills and communication skills



TECHNICAL SKILLS

Demonstrates a high aptitude for complex problem analysis and resolution. Understands development processes and technical concepts.

General knowledge of personal computers and the ability to proficiently use project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Very familiar with what and how the supported application(s) functions are used by the client.

Very good understanding of the Banks application framework.



OTHER JOB INFORMATION

Demonstrates a strong understanding of the business areas functions and operational environment.

Familiar with the Banks business plan and strategic objectives. Possesses a very good understanding of the business units role and how they fit into the organization.

Very good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to the target audience.
