Our global network of top-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries.Job DescriptionAECOM Transportation is seeking a student intern with a background and interest in Construction Management or Project Controls. This applicant will have demonstrated ability to perform applying basic principles both in field and office settings. Some specific responsibilities will also include:

Coordinate with project management and design teams.
Provide design stage cost planning and value engineering.
Maintain cost control procedures, preparing project cost reports and studies.
Prepare cash flow reports.
Analyze change order requests and invoices. The ideal candidate will have a background in project controls, quantity surveying, cost engineering or scheduling, with some or all of the following:

Some relevant experience on large-scale engineering/construction projects
Experience preparing budgets, cash flow analyses and other financial reports
Demonstrated client management, communication and organization skills
Primavera expertise
Cost Estimating and quantity take off software experienceThe prospective candidate will work within our project teams to solve construction problems, perform basic calculations and prepare studies and reports. The applicant must be able to apply principles and techniques to collect and analyze data needed to assess cost or schedule related issues.

The applicant should be an active student pursuing an undergraduate or certificate program. Experience utilizing CADD, scheduling, or cost estimating software is a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is encouraged.
