Provides administrative support for the Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights, a holistic treatment for the care and refugees and survivors of torture. Actively represents the Program in the community. Helps coordinate outreach through the media, Duties include supporting grant related activities, raising the profile of the Center and its work, and coordinating outreach activities.

1. Provides administrative support to the Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights and its Freedom Through Wellness grant program
Oversight of volunteer program
Prepares letters, reports, memos, forms, and reports
Assists with coordination and implementation of grant related activities
Helps to ensure that the programs run smoothly, efficiently and professionally on a daily basis
Contributes to and reviews grant reports
Oversight of purchasing and reimbursement activity
Participates in team meetings
Actively participates as a member of team to support service delivery to clients
Provides oversight of data coordinator

2. Program outreach coordination :

Oversight of caring communities
Prepares Center newsletter
Manages social media and website
Media communications
Community engagement through presentation and meetings
Manages professional and community advisory group
Does event and conference planning
Collaborates with the Office of Development in fundraising activities

3. Conforms to hospital standards of performance and conduct, including those pertaining to patient rights, so that the best possible customer service and patient care may be provided

4. Utilizes hospital s Values as the basis for decision-making and to facilitate the division s hospital mission

5. Follows established hospital infection control and safety procedures

6. Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary

Bachelors degree required.
Minimum of 2 years experience in communications, administrative support, customer service, business administration, administrative assistance, or related field. Experience in the health field and clinical research is helpful.
A strong professional demeanor coupled with enthusiasm are required, as the position requires relating to the community and potential funders in addition to overseeing volunteers and working closely with staff. Must be highly organized and detail oriented, have exceptional oral and written communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Positive and flexible attitude with excellent interpersonal skills is essential. Must have the ability to take initiative and handle multiple priorities and tasks. Extensive knowledge of and experience working with computer systems, including Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work effectively with all levels of staff and management are important. apply now
