Project Engineer

The Technical Lead role involves active technical participation in projects, requiring you to be a technical manager, technical consultant and technical lead. Thus we are very interested in your technical training; your hands-on experience with PLC, HMI, instrumentation, networking, and communications; and your process knowledge. Your duties will make use of your experience in both design and commissioning.
To assist you in your project engineering role, we will train you on the Hinz Project Execution Methodologies, our Project Accounting Methodologies, and our various standards and procedures. As Hinz works with a variety of different vendors, your control systems knowledge will also grow.
Until you gain familiarity with Hinz project execution methodologies and infrastructure, you will be operating primarily as a Project Engineer supporting an existing Hinz project team. As you assimilate into our project execution and prove your abilities, your project responsibilities will increase.
As a Technical Lead you will be required to work with the Project Manager and help manage project teams (consisting of two team members to over 10 team members) located in multiple locations.
Being a Technical Lead includes helping with proposal and estimate generation, also sub-contractor communications when required.
BSEE or related Engineering degree.

5+ years of related experience.

Control system architecture design.

Detailed software design for structured PLC and/or HMI systems.

HMI configuration tasks.

Project commissioning and startup.

Other aspects of electrical/controls projects as necessary.
