Project Engineering Co-op We have an opening for a Process Engineering Co-op at our Filer Mill. The primary function of the coop student will be to assist the technical department in the completion of tasks that contribute to the efficient and cost-effective operation of the paper mill. Responsibilities include:
- Work with Project Engineers as a resource for capital projects - Work on special projects assigned to assist engineers, teach responsibility, and improve communication - Utilize computer software for P & ID drawing and assist in maintaining equipment files. Educational Requirements/Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled student majoring in Chemical or Paper Engineering and have completed the freshman year but not surpassed senior status. A minimum grade point average of 2.8/4.0 is required and you must be eligible to work in the US on a full time basis. Abilities/Skills:
Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential. Candidate must display maturity and a high level of professionalism. Employer Expectations:
The Co-op student must take ownership of his work. The ability to work with other lab personnel, operators, and supervisors is a requirement. A positive work attitude is essential. Housing/Relocation for Coop Term:
- Reimbursement for travel expenses from your permanent home or campus address to the Manistee area at the beginning and end of the co-op period. - Housing Stipend:
$500 per month will be provided to students whose primary address or student address (whichever is closer) is greater than 50 miles from the assigned PCA facility.
