Project Leader

- Manage 70 part numbers transitioning to the supply base to ensure critical milestones are kept, risk mitigation addressed.- Interface with the Project / Operation / Shop Floor Control / Master Planning leaders to coordinate delivery of parts to support the transition plans ( Gold units / Pull in / Buffer Builds )- Interface with Engineering for technical support for the supplier.- Establish Microsoft project schedule with milestone dates to ensure traction & ability to execute on time.- Support passport steps / transition standard work checklist work. - Coordinate overlap / cut in with Passport approval and master planner coordination.- Interface with Supply Chain to ensure raw material availability to support planned deliveries.- Attend daily/ weekly meetings to support overall transition project with 'make to buy' update.- Track and monitor progress to planned deliveries- Identify risks and recommend mitigation actions.- Daily / weekly progress report ( status- actual vs plan ) for specified deliverables ( milestones, technical solution, LAI, FAI, Risks)- Bi-weekly contact with supplier to offer help, guidance, assurance of plan execution.- Task includes doing the 'and then some' to support the needs of the supplier and the Transition project.

Requirements

- Ability to project manage 6-7 suppliers and numerous parts. - Able to
multi-task and work with a sense of urgency. - The task will require
on-site support to track and coordinate planned activities / deliverables
processes.- JDE System knowledge and execution ( supply/demand/shipment
info )- Machining Manufacturing Process Knowledge.- Verifying schedules
and material position in JDE system.- Microsoft Project creation / execution.-
Coordinate CAI activity in preparation for product transfer.- May require
travel to suppliers.- Standard work compliance.- Most of the tasks require
presence on-site in Windsor Locks so a desk, phone, and computer will be
required.- Will also need to have an understanding or be trained on Import/Export
rules and regulations.- Drug screen- Background check- US citizen
