JOB DESCRIPTIONProject Manager for Service Delivery
Main areas of responsibility
Deliver the solution to the customer on agreed budget, schedule, and quality
Develop and maintain plans
Ensuring proper resource availability and allocation, team member competencies and performance
Tracking hours and activities spent against the budget
Communication with customer, team and other stakeholders (incl. offshore)
Inspire and motivate the team
Manage the customer and relationship
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements and acceptance criteria
Create clear and well defined statements of work and project plans
Monitor, manage and control changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Coordinate with accounting on invoicing and revenue recognition
Reporting (status and progress) to the customer and internal management
Problem handling, risk management and escalation
Create and maintain a clear acceptance criteria document
Desired skills and competencies
Strong planning and organizing skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Determination and focus to drive projects through to implementation, delivery and acceptance.
Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally.
Good influencing and persuasion skills with the ability to enthuse and inspire multidisciplinary teams and build successful relationships at all levels.
Good team player, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
Clear decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations and assess when to escalate issues.
Maintain a good balance between general standards and methods vs. short term benefits in the actual project
Ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritization and a pragmatic approach
Ability to bring projects to closure
Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or Business Administration
Project Management, preferably in a delivery organization
Software Lifecycle Management
Supplying to large manufacturing corporations
PMP and/or IPMA (level C or higher) certifications
