We have an immediate opening for a Project Manager located in La Mirada, California.

SUMMARY

The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific commercial field projects, responds to commercial customer inquiries, and analyzes and reports on project progress.

The Project Manager also has a customer facing role, handling customer education training and vendor and subcontractor management.

This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong internal and external customer relationships. The successful candidate will carefully to keep projects on schedule and on budget. Communication is key to the success of commercial projects.

The Project Manager must possess the ability to make quick decisions and work efficiently to manage multiple projects. This position is critical to the success of the Commercial Solutions department and is eligible for incentives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

*

Take full ownership for projects from proposal stage through completion including writing and negotiating contracts, managing project financials, handling day-to-day issues, conducting project meetings and managing customer retention activities
*

Ensure that projects meet the schedule, budget, quality standards, and are managed within department and Client standard operating procedures.
*

Develop and maintain business relationships with the goal of retaining customers and expanding Client commercial business
*

Manage the implementation of air filtration projects by developing schedules to ensure project milestones are met, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors and ensuring adequate resources are available to conduct and complete the given project
*

Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and meet department operating standards
*

Schedule project and customer related activities for Field Technicians
*

Write and disseminate work plans and project documents, including procedures, proposals, progress reports, bills, invoices and presentations
*

Conduct on-site customer education trainings; manage and build customer relationships through face-to-face, phone and email interaction
*

Facilitate meetings when necessary, contributing to planning NetSuite preferred
*

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and work under pressure to meet deadlines
*

A working knowledge of work breakdown structure (WBS) and earned value management (EVM) is preferred
*

Proficient in basic functionality of Google and/or Microsoft applications (i.e. Outlook, Project, Word and Excel)
*

Able to type at least 40wpm (this ability will be tested)
*

Must be able to pass Department of Justice Live Scan screening and pre-employment drug and background screens* Clean DMV record required to drive company vehicle to site locations
