JOB DESCRIPTIONThis position is based in Raleigh Durham, but will be supporting Raleigh Durham and Charlotte. Ad hoc traveling (driving) to Charlotte is expected during the assignment.
The Fiber Quality Management team?s mission is to raise the fitness of the organization for the purpose of building a world class FTTH Network. We help enable greater efficiency, productivity, and consistency in all facets of our business and help our organization achieve superior results across schedule, cost, and quality.
Review and reconcile inspection data between engineering and construction vendors and quality vendors
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities
1) Assist in day-to-day communications cross-functionally between Fiber engineering team, Fiber construction team and our external construction and quality vendors
2) Coordinate schedules between engineering, construction, and quality teams for inspections
3) Assist in ensuring compliance with engineering and construction specifications
5+ years of relevant work experience in large, highly-complex, outside plant projects, FTTH or outside plant (Has exposure and understands the projects, does not need experience making decisions or determinations on quality)
5+ years of project management or quality management experience
Robust knowledge of inside and outside plant fiber optic network infrastructure, engineering design and construction, and the ability to work cross-functionally to design and build scalable construction, installation, and support processes
Knowledge of network drawings, route maps and scopes of work and interpreting fiber test results and auditing projects for compliance with scopes of work
Experience coordinating work schedules
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Proficient in using documents, spreadsheets, and other related software
Nice to have
Knowledge or familiarity with Web Applications and/or GIS mapping software
Knowledge of NESC, NEC, and Industry Standards guidelines and specifications, construction safety standards and OSHA requirements
